It all started with A passion …

for flying paragliders. I had recently gotten my United States Hangliding and Paragliding certificate to fly on my own when a local company approach me with some drone projects. Believe it or not I found a lot of overlap in the FAA Part 107 exam with the paragliding material I had already covered. It made a lot of sense since it is under the rules of aviation. I love the unique perspective drones give you! It was only achievable through a helicopter a few years back. It's amazing!

History

2013

My friend strapped me into a paraglider and sent me off the dunes on Cape Cod, MA. I couldn't describe the feeling - definitely hooked. I knew I would start flying one day in the near future.

2014

I moved to Crested Butte in December, 2014. There was one person I knew in town.

2017

Went to Draper, UT to get certified as a paragliding pilot. I did the intensive course - 10 days of flying and ground school. Left with some skills and a lot of ambition.

2019

A local real estate company approach me about doing some drone projects for them and I went to get my commercial drone license. I did fly a lot of "drone toys" in the meantime to hone my skills. Just don't tell your trimmed their plants when flying your drone in the house!
